Last show of the season here in the North West the show where you can bring your late blooms and have some fun.

There were 11 exhibitors this year who put up 152 exhibits, 239 blooms.

Keith Capper won the Best Bloom Bronze medal with ‘Chanson’ (1 W-P) and also achieved Best Exhibit with his six vases in Class 1.

Len Tomlinson had the most points in the show and was also awarded a Diploma, by Judge Derek Phillips, for his collection of six historic daffodils which he entered in class 1.  ‘Apotheosis’  (1915), ‘Inglescombe (1912), ‘Twink’ (1925), ‘Great Leap’ (1923), ‘Acropolis’(1955) and ‘Helios’ sported 1950.

Best vase of three award was won by Eddie Critchley with ‘Dailmanach’.

The most prestigious prize in the show, for Worst Bloom, was awarded to John Freer for a fasciated bloom of ‘Lundy Light’  this will take some beating next year so bring your best (and worse) flowers and enjoy the day!
