Pie Eater Show 2 May 2016

PE1An end of season show tailored for the exhibitors to bring their late blooms. Not as many exhibits as usual this year but a good selection of daffodils for Judge Gwynne Davies to assess.

The Daffodil Society BronzeMedal for Best Bloom was awarded to Keith Capper for ‘Polgooth’ which along with ‘Cape Cornwall’, ‘Ombersley’, ‘Falmouth’, ‘Dunley Hall’ and ‘Citronita’ secured him first prize in the six vase class.  Keith was also awarded a Diploma for a vase of three ‘Treasure Hunt’.

Len Tomlinson won the seedling class with a 2W-P.

A Diploma was awarded to Tom Tinker for Best Vase div. 5-10 with ‘Lieke’. Tom went on to win the coveted prize for Worst Bloom in Show with ‘Chanterelle’.

  1. Good to read that the Pie Eaters are still doing well, it looks a good show, still the only one with a “worst bloom” award.
