ADSC05240Our final show of the season was once again a great success with over twenty in attendance to sit down to a mouthwatering buffet lunch. Christine Yeardley was presented with the annual award made to a member who had contributed greatly in service to the group during the year.
A full list of the winners and cultivars shown can be seen here.

  1. Sorry that I couldn’t be with you for the final show of the year due to other commitments.
A big thank you to the fellow growers who took and gave their time to stage my entries.

  2. Hi Everyone. Well what a way to end the showing season . A terrific day was had by all who attended. The friendly banter went on all day making this a show so typical of what makes the Northern Group tick. A big thank you to the ladies who provided the wonderful spread as shown in James pictures and also to those who stayed behind to help to break the show down. This help is invaluable.
Our next stage will be Holker Hall Garden Festival where a display will be set up telling the story of Daffodils. We may even have a few flowers. The festival takes place on 3rd,4th 5th June. In these notes i must mention the wonderful RHS late Daffodil and Tulip Show that took place at Harlow Carr . Thanks to all who attended but special thanks must go to Chris Bone and John Freer for there sterling work in stage building.

  3. This season has been very trying first the A.G.M and the bad weather when I wondered if any members would turn up for the meeting and show should have known better good show as posted.
Harrogate another good show a bit disappointed with just a Silver for display and very little help form some members and judging needs reviewing.
Harrogate again this time Harlow Carr for the R.H.S late show after a lot of years campaigning by James and Wendy the Northern Group put a lot of work in WHAT A SUCCESS the best they have had for years lets hope the next two are as good or better.
The late show was another success so not much else to say that has not been said other than to thank every body that help through out the season.
