Leeds Paxton Society 2 April

[Info and photos James Akers]
This was Leeds Paxton Society’s 125th Anniversary Show and they are to be congratulated on a wonderful display of flowers, not just daffodils, to commemorate it.

Graham Wheatley and his helpers had laid out the show to maximum effect and it was greatly admired by the numerous visitors.

The 125th Anniversary Class for 9 blooms was deservedly won by Ron Crabtree with ‘Paean’, ‘Pink Silk’, ‘Trumpet Warrior’, ‘Silent Valley’, ‘Uncle Duncan’, ‘Tutankhamun’, ‘Rapture’, ‘High Society’ and ‘Crackington’. John Freer in second place included the Best Bloom in show, ‘Park Springs’.

John also won the Best Vase of three blooms with the same variety.
