What a super show!. Thank you to everyone who either Exhibited , Stewarded or Judged for making this show one of our best for a long time. There was a great feeling of friendship throughout the entire four day duration of the show. Thank you to Peter and Lesley Ramsey from New Zealand for taking part in the judging. To Jackie Petherbridge Chairperson of the Daffodil Society for playing her part in the judging process. To Peter Wilkins for once again displaying his judging skills. Ron Cain carried out stirling work in judging and will provide a show report. Derek Williams for not only judging but also doing a shift manning the information area. Thank you also to James for providing us with all the show data as well as the Historical display. My mate Chris our Secretary was as usual on the ball with more boxes of equipment than anyone else could store (Glad we bought the Shed!). I must make mention of one great happening that took place during the show!. John Freer bought a new cap!. The old and much loved cap was to be either composted or used as a plant container. Well that was the plan!. However next day John turned up wearing the old cap as he could not bear to be parted from it!. Could i also thank Ivor Fox for writing the second of our two show reports. Finally thanks to all who helped to take down the show . The North of England Show Committee who run Harrogate show were most grateful.
Enjoy the rest of the season. See you all next week at the Late Show.
Regards.
Rae.
So glad the show was a success. We were very disappointed not to be there.
The first time we have missed in 32 years !! We are looking forward to seeing everybody at Pilley on Saturday. (Hope John brings his new cap)
With regards to my new cap it looked like rain & I didn’t want get it wet so I came in my old one
John
Having been in close proximity for many months to the “much loved” cap my preference is definitely the compost heap for its timely disposal
