  1. Our condolences to Anne and his family at this sad time. Richard and Anne worked tirelessly for the Daffodil Society in many capacities and for many years. He was a great exhibitor too and grew some very fine daffodils. I will remember his lovely 3 vases of 3 exhibits especially.

  2. The passing of Richard leaves a huge gap in the workings of the Northern Group. He was a man that i admired very much not only for his skills in growing ,showing and judging. But for the direct way in which he expressed his opinion on whatever subject was a talking point at the time. Never far from the side of Ann at the shows he was always ready to help out in which ever way he could . Recently Richard and Ann were presented with the Northern Groups Discretionary Award for Services to the Northern Group, an award for which they were both justly proud. On behalf of everyone involved in the Northern Group can i offer Ann and her family our condolences. We have all lost a very good friend.

  3. I would like to say a very big thank you to all members of the Northern Group who attended Richard’s funeral. Me and my family were overwhelmed by the support,
cards, telephone calls and donations to Barnsley Coronary Club. I have very fond memories of our involvement with you all over the last forty years and the many friends we made. I will still be involved as much as I can in the future.

    Thank you once again
    Kind Regards
    Anne
