There were 142 exhibits in the daffodil classes at Colne, just over 330 blooms in all. Other sections of the show were also well supported.
Diane Mason was awarded the society Bronze Medal for Best Bloom and The Samuel Twynham Memorial Trophy for a single bloom of ‘Chobe River’.
Frank Hartnell won the Daffodil Championship Trophy in class 1, three vases of three, 1 division per vase, with ‘Seagrave’, ‘Loch Assynt’ and ‘Misty Glen’.
The £20 prize for Best Daffodil with Pink in the Cup was taken by Andrew Clark for ‘Rose Lake’
