This was my first visit to this Sunday show and what a pleasure it was. A well lighted hall was all set up to welcome daffodil exhibitors with everything they needed. The hard working members who set up the staging and prepare everything often go unmentioned but they are the backbone of flower societies and deserve the wholehearted thanks of everyone. There were three entries in the class for 12 cultivars from not less than 3 divisions, winner and first time outing for Barry Hogg who had a well grown set. Christine Yeardley was second and Wendy Akers third.
As with many Northern Shows emphasis is placed on classes for vases of three blooms, which were well supported.
Alan Robinson had Best Bloom in show with a fine ‘Santana’ awarded by judge John Freer.
