The Northern Group were awarded a Silver Gilt for its stand.
The North of England Championship for 12 cultivars from not less than four divisions was won by Ken Harrop with Frank Charlton second.

What a good show every thing went like clock work and I would like to thank judges and stewards for making it happen not forgetting the exhibitors for bringing blooms to make it happen

The quality of the flowers looks exceptional. We missed being there and pleased everything went smoothly. We hope to see everybody at Pilley on Saturday.
Sorry for the delay in posting my thoughts on both Harrogate and Pilley. I think that most of you are aware that i have been rather busy with hospital visits.
Harrogate was, as always a show that is so very special to us all. The whole atmosphere of the show is one of friendly, happy people enjoying a good day out. Can i thank everyone who stayed back to help at breakdown on Sunday this is a great help to us. I understand that John Freer has plans in place for next years stand but the big question is will he be sporting yet another new cap?. Will it be three in a row?. Only time will tell. We missed Our President Wendy who was taken ill on the first day. Get well soon Wendy we are all thinking about you.
Our Late Show at Pilley was the usual warm fun filled day. Everyone enjoyed the day so much we almost ran out of time. What makes Pilley so special is the wonderful lunch. There were two very special awards presented at Pilley.
Our Discretionary Award went to James Akers for his outstanding work on our website. Such a pity that he was not able to collect it on the day. However this will be carried out at some appropriate time in the near future.
A Special Award was presented to Anne Smails for her work as our treasurer. A big thanks to Anne from Chris and i .
