Last show of the season here in the North West but there were still over a hundred blooms for judge Derek Phillips to consider.
In class 1, six stems of six cultivars, Keith achieved first prize with ‘Moon Shadow’, ‘China Doll’, ‘Altun Ha’, ‘Honeybourne’, Ruddy Rascal’ and ‘Treasure Hunt’. ‘Moon Shadow ‘ went on to win the Daffodil Society Bronze Medal for Best Bloom in Show. Keith was also awarded a Diploma for 3 stems of ‘Cape Point’.
Pat King was awarded a first prize in class 2 for a vase of three ‘Ice Wings’ and she was awarded a Special Prize for achieving Most Points in Show.
Len Tomlinson was also awarded a Diploma for one of his own seedlings (photo below left – Does it have a number or cross details Len? and can I have a bulb please – James) and snatched the prestigious award for Worst Bloom in Show with ‘Beersheba x Vale Royal’.
