Wrenthorpe spring show on Sunday 6 April was a glorious sight, all the exhibits including daffodils and tulips looked good in this extremely early season. There were four entries in the collection of six blooms, winner Ken Bacon had brought flowers from the Midlands but third placed Christine Yeardley’s set contained the best bloom in the show, Golden Joy, which was well-nigh perfect.
