The section Pseudonarcissus includes a large number of what gardeners would regard as trumpet daffodils, all white, all yellow, bicolors and also Narcissus cyclamineus which many botanists suggest should be included in a separate section.

The most learned review of this section was carried out by H W Pugsley and published in the Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society of February 1933.
