Our aim is to provide up-to-date information on daffodils with particular reference to the North of England. Please feel free to comment and also upload your daffodil show reports and pictures.

The Daffodil Society traces its history back to the formation of the Midland Daffodil Society at a meeting in Birmingham in July 1898. Its first show was held in the Botanical Gardens, Edgbaston, Birmingham 1899 and the report of that show can be read by clicking the thumbnail below.


In 1963 the society name was changed to the Daffodil Society.


The Northern Group of the Daffodil Society was formed at a meeting held in 1978
