There were 87 exhibits in the Daffodil classes at Tottington show, just over 180 blooms in all.
The Daffodil Society Bronze Medal was awarded to Mr. & Mrs. Crutchley for Best Exhibit in a three vase class with three distinct cultivars per vase ‘Jenna’ (see right), ‘Disquiet’ and ‘Altun Ha’. They went on to win a Special Prize with an exhibit of six blooms, ‘Disquiet’, Altun Ha’, ‘Jenna’, ‘Cherrygardens’, ‘Claverley’ and ‘Athol Palace’.
The Tom Scholes Memorial Silver Tray awarded for most first prizes in the Daffodil classes was won by Keith Capper who also received the Walter Lea Cup for Best Bloom in show with ‘Happy Valley’ (see left).
Frank Hartnell won the Miniature Championship with his three vases of ‘Pacific Coast’ (see right), ‘Minnow’ and ‘Sabrosa’.
